I am a Reader (something like Senior Associate Professor for those outside the UK) in Comparative Political Science at the University of Liverpool. I hold a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute (Florence, Italy; 2012), as well a number of postgraduate degrees in (quantitative) social sciences and political theory. My undergraduate qualifications are in Political Science (2004) and Law (2002).
My research interests lie at the intersection of sociology, social psychology and comparative political science. My main areas of specialism are electoral behaviour, public opinion, political parties and statistical methods.
In my spare time, I also edit the European Journal of Political Research: Political Data Yearbook.
